How to Use the CDs:

Choosing your ensemble and music

1) First, just listen to the sounds of the different instruments. Do you love or hate the harp? Do you think the flute adds a light touch? Does a string trio sound just right?

2) Once you have chosen the ensemble that’s right for you, make a list of your favorite pieces. Don’t worry which instruments play them on the CD as most ensembles can play most pieces.

3) Now try to hone down your favorite 10 pieces. Have you always dreamed of walking down the aisle to the Pachelbel Canon? Do you want to avoid the most popular pieces for some that are beautiful but more obscure?

4) Call Andrea or Bonnie at Silverwood for advice. What piece works well for the processional? How do I build up the emotional impact throughout the processional? We’ll give you our honest advice honed from thirty years of creating wedding magic.

At the rehearsal

The Silverwood musicians are trained and experienced to get their timing just right so it’s not necessary to have them at your rehearsal, but the CD is your easy and inexpensive alternative. Play your chosen pieces at the rehearsal to give the moms, bridesmaids, and honored guests a chance to hear their special music . Hearing the CD will help them learn to recognize when to walk down the aisle and gives the rehearsal the feel of the real wedding.

As an alternate to live music

Of course there is nothing like live music but for those who simply can’t have a live group, the Here Comes The Bride CD, used by many DJs, offers a variety of options and beautiful music played by top professionals.

After the wedding

Use selections from the CD as background on your wedding video. Play the CD for dinner parties. Keep as a treasured keepsake forever.
